Anthropomorphic Stone Tomb la Pila de los Ladrones

In Cedillo, as in othernearby villages, there are numerous anthropomorphic stone tombs. Their construction most likely dates from the Late Roman or Early Christian period. There are various different types: some dug out of slate outcrops and some made of slabs driven into the ground. They are located individually or in groups and are always small and rectangular.

This is a solitary tomb carved into a rock at the side of a path. It stands out due to the impressive nature of the rock into which it is carved.
